Yeah I agree to the both of you. Using a Single MS Excel Spreadsheet for controlling small and mid sized projects is really a not good idea anymore. There are application programs available right now to ease the handling of such projects and the process which are relatively efficient.

Controlling small and mid sized projects with a single MS Excel Spreadsheet is a bad idea. I know because i've tried it. Far better to sign up for a web-based project management service, like Intervals. It costs roughly $2 per project you are managing, which is way more than you are going to spend fiddling with Xcel Spreadsheets.
